Louisiana Superdome Hotels

First opened in the 1970s, the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, has been home to many historical events and games. Over the years the Superdome has been home for teams such as the New Orleans Jazz (NBA), New Orleans Saints (NFL), and the Tulane Green Wave (NCAA). It has witnessed everything from a Rolling Stone concert (which was the largest indoor concert in the world) and the 1988 Republican National Convention to a speech from Pope John Paul II and a triumphant revitalization after the events of Hurricane Katrina. Unlike some other stadiums that serve as sports centers first and entertainment venues second, the Louisiana Superdome was designed to be a multi-purpose facility. As such, it can accommodate everything from business meetings and small events with as few as a hundred people, to conventions, concerts, and tradeshows with thousands of attendees. Parties can even be held on the floor of the Superdome itself, or in one for the stadium’s four lounges.

In all, the Louisiana Superdome boasts more than 166,000 square feet of space and can seat approximately 70,000 at a given time. The stadium also features 5,000 parking spaces, two bars, and 137 luxury suites.
